The role involves migrating on-premises infrastructure to the cloud while managing and automating both environments. You will lead the systems engineering team, define project plans, and ensure adherence to security guidelines using Agile principles.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering and possess four to eight years of experience in cloud engineering. Strong technical proficiency in networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms is required, along with experience in project management.
This role sits with an international scientific and technology centre on the Italian coast at La Spezia. The work is a genuine migration: assessing what runs on premises today, deciding what belongs in the cloud, then planning, building and running it. You would be shaping the approach rather than executing someone else's plan.
You get a migration to own end to end, a technical team to lead, and an organisation whose work has a purpose beyond a balance sheet. La Spezia is not a bad place to be based either.
