The Cell Leader is responsible for scheduling production, managing material availability, and providing performance feedback to cell members. They ensure cell compliance with ISO standards and standard work while handling shortage and rush production issues.
Candidates must have experience in electrical panel assembly within a manufacturing environment and possess strong mechanical aptitude. Proficiency in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and collaborating in a team environment is required.
Your Impact:
The Cell Leader, in addition to the responsibilities of the Assembler and under moderate supervision, is responsible for scheduling production, ensuring the required materials are available for the cell, and problem-solving and providing performance feedback regarding cell members to the Production Supervisor.
Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:
Schedules and prioritizes orders through cells.
Distributes schedules and shop orders to appropriate cells.
Reviews in-process defect sheets and records totals on cell summary sheets.
Posts quality and delivery data on cell boards.
Reviews the demand exception report daily and makes necessary adjustments
Reviews and posts monthly, weekly, and daily service level results. Takes corrective actions to achieve service level expectations.
Handles shortage, rush, and special production issues.
Provides performance appraisal input to supervisors.
Provides corrective actions for operator error classified Customer Quality Concerns (CQC’s).
Maintains the integrity and accuracy of the cell takt time boards.
Fills in for absent employees or employees temporarily out of the cell.
Responsible for cell housekeeping and 5S program support.
Works with supervisor to coordinate vacation schedules.
Prepares and files CS packages.
Acts as scheduling coordinator contact.
Assures cell compliance to ISO.
Assures cell associate compliance with standard work.
Assists supervisor in the training of cell associates.
