The center focuses on the design and development of Lear products, including complex seating mechanisms and structures, foams, coatings, plastics, and trim components. The vision for Plzen is not to work as an internal supplier for our European business units but to develop into a leading Design and Development Center working on projects for all major European OEM customer groups from concept phase through to delivery.
You drive commercial performance for your assigned commodities and programs by selecting the most cost-effective suppliers and delivering measurable savings. Your impact is judged primarily by achieving the Annual Cost Reduction Targets through negotiation, benchmarking, and competitive sourcing.

Lead sourcing activities by creating and issuing RFQs/engineering change requests, evaluating offers, and awarding business to meet program timing, quality, and cost targets.
Negotiate and implement long-term agreements, including commercial terms, pricing frameworks, and change control to secure sustainable value.
Manage supplier and cost economics (e.g., CPI/CPR and exchange-rate impacts), build/maintain should-cost models, and partner with logistics/operations to optimize freight and packaging.
Your Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, or equivalent commercial experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent experience/technical education.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of delivering measurable cost reductions.
Proficiency in MS Office, including strong Excel skills for cost analysis and data-driven decision-making.
Professional English communication skills and willingness to travel within the UK/EU as needed.
