The HSE Supervisor is responsible for conducting risk assessments, monitoring permit-to-work activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. They also lead incident investigations, deliver safety inductions, and manage occupational health and waste programs.
Candidates must hold a diploma in OSH or Environmental Science with OSH-C certification and DOSH registration. At least 2 years of hands-on HSE experience in a manufacturing or plant environment is required.
ACTVITIES
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Diploma in OSH, Environmental Science, or equivalent with at least certificate in OSH-C and registered with DOSH
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in the HSE field, ideally within a manufacturing or plant operations environment
• Practical knowledge of risk assessment tools (HIRARC, JSA), basic incident investigation, and the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system.
• Familiarity with chemical handling, scheduled waste management, and hazardous material safety protocols.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate safety requirements effectively to both shopfloor workers and site management.
• Competent in conducting daily Toolbox Talks (TBT), basic HSE awareness training, and routine site inspections/audits.
• Good interpersonal communication skill.
• Basic knowledge or exposure to Process Safety will be considered a significant advantage.
• Able to communicate well in Bahasa Malaysia. Basic command of English (written and spoken) is sufficient, with a willingness to learn and improve.
