Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Create and manage purchase orders in the ERP system.
Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations.
Support cost-saving and supplier negotiation initiatives.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information.
Coordinate with engineering, planning, logistics, and receiving teams.
Resolve delivery, quality, and invoicing issues with suppliers.
Track inventory levels and assist in replenishment planning.
Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports on supplier performance, cost trends, and delivery metrics.
Assist in supplier qualification and performance reviews.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Education & Experience
requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Skills & Other Requirements
Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. (Oracle preferred)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
