Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in laboratory or blood bank manufacturing preferred. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in environments with potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

(Based upon when hours are worked positions may include a shift and weekend differential of $1.50 - $4.50 per hour.)

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds). Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment. Tasks may involve some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Functions are regularly performed inside and/or outside with potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements and pathogenic substances.
