At The Pet Hospital, we're looking for a small animal Veterinary Practitioner to join our friendly and welcoming team in Waterford. This role would suit a confident general practitioner who enjoys the variety of first-opinion practice, values continuity of care, and is comfortable taking ownership of cases. As part of a small team, you will need to be capable of working sole charge when required, whilst delivering a high standard of clinical care and client service. Clinical Freedom, Support When You Need It

We're seeking a veterinary surgeon who is confident working independently and comfortable managing a varied caseload. This is an important role within a small practice, and the successful candidate will need the confidence to work sole charge at times, supported on site by a small but committed team of colleagues.

While independence is important, you'll never be isolated. The practice benefits from strong links with our neighbouring sister practice, City Vets, where an experienced clinical team is available to provide guidance, case discussion and support whenever needed. In addition, you'll have access to the extensive expertise, resources and professional network available across IVC Evidensia, meaning help and advice are always close at hand.

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with VCI-registered veterinary surgeons who enjoy small animal general practice and who are motivated by delivering high standards of patient and client care.

The successful candidate will be confident managing consultations, routine surgery and first-opinion medical cases, with the ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions when required. As this role will involve periods of sole charge, a capable and self-assured approach to general practice is important.

Alongside clinical competence, we're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, communicates well with clients and colleagues, and values the relationships that make veterinary practice so rewarding.

Salary is dependent on experience and available up to €75,000 per annum.
