The Accessioning Technologist II is responsible for receiving patient samples, verifying documentation, and performing accurate data entry into the CRM system. They ensure specimen integrity and regulatory compliance while routing samples to the appropriate laboratory workflows.
Candidates need a high school diploma with 2-4 years of experience, an associate degree with 1+ years, or a bachelor's degree in biological or life sciences. Preferred qualifications include experience in a CLIA laboratory and knowledge of anatomic pathology specimen descriptions.

The Accessioning Technologist II performs critical sample receipt and data entry functions in FMI’s CLIA-certified clinical laboratory. Specifically, the Accessioning Technologist receives all incoming samples and ensures that necessary information has been received to move forward with processing. This role is involved in both independent and collaborative work that includes the use of account or patient demographic data entry.
This is a regulated position and additional information may be available from FMI Quality Assurance regarding regulatory guidelines.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Morrisville, NC is $41,360 - $51,700 per year. The salary range is commensurate with Foundation Medicines compensation practice and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for Foundation Medicine's benefits.
