The Physical Therapist performs initial assessments and develops treatment plans to increase patient functioning and reduce discomfort. They rotate through various acute care areas, including the ED and ICU, while documenting progress and supervising assistants.
Candidates must be graduates of an APTA-approved program and hold an active state license and CPR/BLS certification. Experience in acute care and proficiency with Cerner Powerchart or Epic is preferred.
The Staff Physical Therapist reviews patient charts, performs initial assessments, develops treatment plans, administers physical therapy treatments and modalities, monitors progress and documents treatments performed with patients (including discharge planning and patient education) in order to increase overall functioning, reduce discomfort, increase or maintain flexibility and range of motion/strength, and achieve other medical and therapeutic goals.
This position is for Acute Care, so this PT will be rotating on all floors, including ED, ICU and occasional IPR coverage, as needed.
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus up to $15,000!
