Digital Strategy and Coordination Manager

BACKGROUND

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. The Management Services Division (MSD) continues to look for digital solutions to meet the growing demand from the organization and implement the initiatives related to digital transformation.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
You will be joining a community of over 4,000 team members, worldwide – ranging from facility managers, engineers, and environmental officers to drivers and maintenance workers, managing critical Management Services (Administration and Engineering) that WFP’s humanitarian operations cannot run without. Management Services (Administration) colleagues ensure duty-of-care and enable the actions of our 16,000 colleagues. At the core of WFP’s efforts to respond quickly to dynamic operational needs - Management Services is there!
The responsibilities of our Management Services professionals include managing travel, accommodation, and protocol support; delivering and maintaining fit-for-purpose facilities; managing WFP’s pool of assets including light & armoured vehicles; and providing guidance on oversight, internal controls, and anti-fraud management.
The Digital Strategy and Coordination Manager will work in the Shared Services and Business Development branch (MSDB) of the Management Services Division. The Management Services Division includes workstreams focusing on Asset, Facilities, Fleet and Travel Management, as well as Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, and Environmental Sustainability, among other services critical to enabling WFP colleagues to live and work throughout WFP's global operations.
Under the direct supervision of the Chief, MSDB and in close collaboration with other teams, the Digital Strategy and Coordination Manager will perform the following duties:
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate MSD 5 years digital strategy and design implementation plans for delivery of strategic milestones by coordinating divisional tools, processes, and rules that define how to manage, analyse, and act upon digital transformation
• Oversee MSD Data Platform Strategy implementation and evolutions to ensure a single source of truth and dashboards evolution to support a divisional data driven culture
• Coordinates the Digital Travel Transformation Roadmap (2 CCIs activities), from requirement collection to solution design, to delivery oversight, by collaborating with all MSD and TEC stakeholders.
• Maintain the MSD Systems Portfolio and known issues and solutions updated in coordination with all branches and units
• Coordinate divisional digital budget and efficiency (i.e., digital/Technology Division (TEC) expenses, cloud, developers)
• Work closely with Data Management and Automation focal points to provide direction and to ensure strategies are aligned to overall MSD digital strategy
• Leads MSD Digital Transformation Team fostering cross functional collaboration, sharing of best practices and future integration projects with Digital Project Managers, Data Stewards, Business Process Experts, and relevant Key Technology Experts
• Coordinates the Global Service Management tool (GSMT) development, maintenance and evolution for all MSD services including provisioning for other UN agencies.
• Collaborate with TEC (Technology and IT Division) to leverage on their knowledge & experience to apply common solutions and inform the divisional digital roadmap
• Observe the ERP roadmap to align MSD strategic digital decisions
• Aligns with internal and external partners to inform the divisional digital strategy and to integrate MSD in corporate digital projects
• Serves as digital advisor for divisional branches, digital managers, project managers and data stewards

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
• University degree with an emphasis Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering.
Experience:
• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience with digital strategy
• Proven track record of planning, leading, and executing digital management projects.
• Experience in data management, analytics, and reporting tools, including, but not limited to, Tableau SAP Business Intelligence suite, and
Palantir Foundry,
• Experience in systems evolution and integration.
• Successful cross-functional teams leading.
• Ability to manage budget, resources, and risks.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Technology Awareness:
• Has in-depth knowledge and proficiency with digital strategies and management
• Is familiar with data management and visualization and has experience in using Tableau for the creation of dashboards, standard and ad-hoc reports
• Has experience with systems integration
• Has experience in translating business strategies into digital implementations and technology roadmaps.
