About the role

We are looking for an Operations Finance Controller to:

• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to deliver site financials
• Keep the finance programme on track and drive significant transformation across sites
• Oversee overall operations accounting management

Key responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with Operation/SCM team to design and execute against programme strategy, KPIs, and Budget/Projection
• Target setting, budgeting and management of actual costs, savings projects
• As an integral member of the management team, challenge and work with plant managements as well as supply chain in all areas of materials management including inventory levels, aged inventories and plant capacities by production line.
• Responsible for submitting, reviewing and signing off on all capital expenditure projects (including justifications) for presentation to management for approval.            
• Accountable for weekly operations report assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of the plant (s) based on appropriate KPIs.         
• Act as a role model for the team and strong leadership. 
• Visit the operations sites regularly – 50% of travel
• Be one of the lead champions in achieving Accelerate programme and savings             
• Develop the right talents for the growth of the business. Making sure all the roles have a backup plan and also able to be hands-on as required  
• Support the growth of the business including mergers and acquisitions, integrations
• Support any business transfers, reorganisation and other ad hoc projects as assigned
• Manage, coaching and mentoring of local plant accountants
• Managing Financials– Responsible for the accuracy of all plant financials including production volume, conversion costs, material usage variance, and standard costs. A clear understanding of inventory and the controls process are key
• IO PMO – provide project management support for Integrated Office projects and Site Leadership team. This support includes but is not limited to scope definition, planning, status reporting & tracking, and risk management. In conjunction with the Plant Leadership Team drive results to ensure on time deployment of the project with the Plant and highlight when and what support is needed if issues arise whilst managing risks and removing blockages that might impact delivery.
• Coordinates with the operations leadership to refine, develop, and implement standard operating procedures
• Coordinate refinement of accounting policies and procedures as they relate to the manufacturing locations
• Work with the finance leadership team to continuously improve the operations finance processes
• Identify additional improvements to processes system and procedures

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience in manufacturing, operations finance or supply chain finance with increasing levels of responsibility and a proven track record of delivering financial and operational improvements.
• Experience in Food, Ingredients, FMCG or manufacturing industries is preferred.
• An undergraduate degree in Finance or business discipline is required.
• Exposure to manufacturing environment
• CPA or other finance qualifications preferred.
• Computer Skills are required, particularly with Excel, SAP and Accounting System.
• Good communication and written of English
