The Customs Agent is responsible for preparing, processing, and submitting all customs declarations in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. They work closely with KLM, customs authorities, and internal teams to ensure the efficient flow of goods and adherence to dual-use and airworthiness requirements.
Candidates must have a completed customs education (Evofenedex or equivalent) and at least one year of relevant work experience. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, along with the ability to obtain a VGB (Certificate of No Objection).

JOUW ROL
Bij CEVA Logistics zijn wij op zoek naar een Douane Declarant (Customs Agent) voor het team dat werkt voor onze grootste klant KLM Engineering & Maintenance in Schiphol. In deze functie werk je samen met collega’s aan de operationele uitvoering van diverse douanevraagstukken. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het verzorgen van alle douaneaangiften en de bijbehorende administratieve werkzaamheden. Hiermee zorg je voor een correcte en efficiënte afhandeling van de douaneprocessen en draag je bij aan een vlotte doorstroom van de KLM zendingen.
Als Customs Agent ben je verantwoordelijk voor het afhandelen van alle douaneformaliteiten en zorg je voor een vlotte afhandeling van in- en uitgaande goederen. Je werkt nauw samen met KLM, douaneautoriteiten en interne collega’s om ervoor te zorgen dat alle benodigde documentatie correct en tijdig wordt ingediend.
Samenvattend bestaan jouw werkzaamheden onder andere uit:
WAAR KOM JE TE WERKEN?
Je komt te werken in een professioneel en betrokken douaneteam, waar samenwerking centraal staat en ideeën gewaardeerd worden. Het team heeft een eigen kantoor in Oude Meer met uitzicht op de start- en landingsbaan. Daarnaast zul je incidenteel op het KLM-terrein werken. In totaal werken er bijna 30 collega’s, waaronder meerdere (Assistant) Customs Agents en twee Senior Customs Agents. In het team is ook een eigen Customs Compliance Specialist die toeziet op de kwaliteit en je adviseert waar nodig.
Je werkt van maandag t/m zondag tussen 06:30 – 21:30 uur in verschoven diensten. Daarbuiten is er een bereikbaarheidsdienst mogelijk, waar natuurlijk ook extra vergoeding tegenover staan. Jouw leidinggevende is de Customs Supervisor.
