ANSA McAL Chemicals Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to contribute to the financial stewardship, reporting excellence, and strategic growth of a leading organization.

About the Role

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management of statutory and tax compliance requirements, oversight of month-end and year-end reporting processes, and supervision of junior accounting team members. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial records while supporting business decision-making through insightful financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRS, IAS, and Group accounting policies.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.
• Review general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and financial variances.
• Manage statutory reporting and tax submissions, including VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE, and NIS requirements. 
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis initiatives.
• Coordinate audit activities and maintain strong internal controls.
• Develop and mentor accounting team members while driving process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

• Professional accounting designation such as ACCA, CIMA, CMA, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

• Minimum four (4) years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards. 
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and financial analysis.
