The Hull Engineer will participate in the basic design and development of detailed engineering packages for vessels and floating structures. Responsibilities include 3D modeling of hull sections, performing structural calculations, and providing technical support at shipyards.
Candidates must hold a higher education degree in Shipbuilding Engineering or Naval Architecture. A minimum of 2-5 years of engineering experience and good proficiency in written and verbal English are required.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Participation in basic design and development of complete detailed engineering packages for new and standard vessels and floating structures within project plans, according to technical specifications, Class and governmental regulations, Damen standards and building yard requirements under guidance and with using basic decisions or prototype as incoming data.
FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITIES
Development of constructions and drawings:
- 3 D-modeling of complex hull sections: bow with anchor recess and bow thruster; stern with propeller-rudder system; deckhouse under guidance and using basic decisions.
- 3 D-modeling of main structural outfitting of model, specification, basic decisions.
- 3 D-modeling of complex and simple foundations according to existing equipment.
- Release of complete package of production Information.
Performance of calculations (when applicable):
Perform calculations for further elaboration including:
- Performs weight estimation under guidance.
- Performs calculations of local strength for determination of local reinforcement / sup-ports.
- Participates in calculation of Material Take-off.
Other activities:
- Constantly perfects knowledge and skills on specialty.
- Participates actively in trainings of new-comers.
- Performs planned tasks strictly within the budget and in specified terms.
- Provides report on performed tasks accord-ing to applicable instructions.
- Carries out designer supervision and, if necessary, technical support on a shipyard, works in the office of the Client.

- Meet the "HSEQ Statement" and applicable safety regulations (including legal obligations)
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Qualification and skill level
- Higher education technical
- Qualification in Shipbuilding Engineering/ Naval Architecture
- Good Written and Verbal English
