Responsible for preparing and coating fabricated steel structures and equipment to high-quality standards. This includes operating and maintaining blasting and painting equipment and tools under the direction of the workshop supervisor.
Requires a trade-qualified spray painter or blaster, or a labourer with relevant painting experience. A valid driver's license is required, and high-risk work licenses such as forklift or dogman are highly encouraged.

Are you an experienced trade-qualified spray painter or blaster looking for a new challenge? At Thornton Engineering, we're looking for talented individuals just like you to join our team in Geelong. We will also consider labourers with painting experience.
As one of our spray painters or blasters, you'll be responsible for ensuring our fabricated steel structures and equipment are coated to our high-quality standards. Reporting to the workshop supervisor, you'll use your expertise to operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment, power tools, and hand tools required to prepare and coat fabricated parts.
Our workshops are located at the northern end of Corio, Geelong and within driving range from Melbourne.
We're looking for candidates who have demonstrated experience in steel protective coatings, and who take pride in their work. If you're a team player with a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you.
