The Site Electrical Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical site activities related to EPC High Voltage (HV) / Extra High Voltage (EHV) Substation, infrastructure, and energy projects, ensuring that installation, testing, and commissioning works are executed safely, in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Description:
1- Familiarizes
with project scope of work, general requirements, applicable standards,
technical specifications and project milestone schedule.
2- Prepares work
plan and implementation strategy in line with project schedule and customer
requirements for the assigned tasks.
3- Supervise
day-to-day electrical construction and installation activities at site.
4- Ensure all works
are executed in accordance with approved IFC drawings, method statements,
project specifications, and applicable standards.
5- Coordinate site
activities with subcontractors, supervisors, vendors, and construction teams.
6- Ensures work
execution as per standards, specifications, procedures and good engineering
practices.
7- Supervise
installation of HV/MV electrical systems including transformers, GIS/AIS
switchgear, control and protection panels, cable systems, grounding systems,
lighting, and associated electrical equipment.
8- Coordinates with
members of execution team, supervisors, safety officer and QA/QC engineer.
9- Monitor quality
and ensure compliance with approved procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
10- Ensures
implementation of quality control requirements, procedures and guidelines and
takes corrective actions where needed.
11- Support QA/QC activities, including MIRs, RFIs, inspections, and documentation requirements.
12- Ensure
compliance with project HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, and safety
procedures.
13- Monitor site
progress and report daily/weekly status updates to Site Manager and Project
Management team.
14- Identify site
issues, delays, or technical conflicts and coordinate timely resolution
15- Assists in the successful handing over and close-out of the completed project tasks.
