The Surfacing Engineer will manage the forward works programme while ensuring safety, quality, and service standards are met. Responsibilities include pricing, tendering, and providing both operational field support to crews and office-based management.
Candidates should have previous surfacing experience and a relevant tertiary qualification, though training is available for the right applicant. A full class 1 driver licence is required, with class 2 being advantageous.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Surfacing Engineer to join our Roadmarking Team in the Nelson Region. In this role you will be involved in various aspects of managing our existing surfacing business whilst meeting the primary objectives of safety, quality and service.
You will support the Roadmarking Department Manager in the management and delivery of the forward works programme, whilst meeting the primary objectives of safety, quality, and service that Fulton Hogan and our clients require.
This position will include operational tasks with our Roadmarking crews as well as office-based support for the Department Manager.
What you’ll bring to the table
Our ideal candidate will have previous surfacing experience. However, it is not essential as we will provide full training for the right candidate.
