Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, with an Associate degree in a health-related field preferred. Experience in Health Information Management or a healthcare setting is required, along with familiarity with electronic medical record systems.

As an HIM Specialist, you will provide essential operational support by managing document imaging, record maintenance, and accurate chart reviews. You will ensure that all patient health information remains secure and compliant with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
Every day, you will perform core tasks such as scanning, indexing, and quality-checking records while assisting with release of information requests. You will work within established workflows to maintain timely processing and handle departmental inquiries effectively.
To be successful in this role, you will consistently meet productivity and quality benchmarks for all assigned duties. You will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure records are complete and deficiencies are promptly escalated.
