The EMT is responsible for providing safe ambulance transportation and emergency medical care to patients. Key duties include responding to 911 calls, assessing patient conditions, and documenting medical treatments provided.
Candidates must hold a State of CT EMT Certification and current AHA BCLS certification. Certification in RI is preferred or must be obtained within six months of employment.

Under the supervision of the Manager, Emergency Services and the Clinical Coordinator/Chief paramedic. the L+M Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for providing safe ambulance transportation and patient care for patients.

EDUCATION
EMS certification/licensure at the EMT level, other health care licensure /certification, or other subject matter expertise in the area of healthcare, public safety, EMS, or education is preferred
EXPERIENCE
Pre-hospital experience, other healthcare experience, or other needed area of expertise experience strongly encouraged. Must maintain certification as a CT and RI EMT
LICENSURE
State of CT EMT Certification required, EMS certification/licensure at or above the EMT level in RI is preferred at hire or must be obtained in the first 6 month of employment, other health care licensure/certification desirable, Current AHA BCLS is required.
