The Driver Technician is responsible for the safe operation of DOT regulated vehicles to transport materials and equipment. Additionally, the role involves executing field service activities, including system troubleshooting and mechanical repairs at customer sites.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and the ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL and a DOT medical card. Requirements include a clean driving record and the ability to travel up to 80% of the time, including overnight and cross-border trips.

Job Summary:
The Driver Technician will be responsible for safe operation of a DOT regulated vehicle, transporting materials/equipment from point A to point B. This role also executes field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner, including system troubleshooting, working with mechanical, electrical, diesel conditions (based on the requirements of the assigned role/customer), and can identify and remedy safety issues (both Company and Customer owned equipment). Has direct interfacing with customer and potentially operates at multiple sites / with multiple technologies. Critical thinking in this role is a critical item.

Education & Experience Requirements:

· 0 to 2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred
· Ability to drive overnight
· Ability to cross-borders and obtain valid passport
· Ability to drive difficult routes
· Ability to understand weight requirements / weight distribution
Skill Requirements:
· Electrical, mechanical, diesel, fusion experience depending on business unit
· Work without direct supervision
· Technically sound
· Experience with Microsoft Office including smart devices
· Must have customer service experience
· Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
· Synthesizes technical information and communicates it clearly
