The GIS Technician will design and produce high-quality thematic digital cartography while developing automated workflows to support geospatial projects. They will also manage spatial databases and provide technical support for clients across various sectors including mining, infrastructure, and environmental management.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Geography or Geology and possess at least 3 years of professional GIS experience. Proficiency in ArcGIS/QGIS, spatial analysis, and basic Python scripting is required, along with a high level of English proficiency.
Job Overview
We are seeking a GIS Technician to join the Geospatial Technologies department at Xcalibur MPH Spain, based in Madrid. The selected candidate will have at least 3 years of professional experience in GIS and geospatial data management.
The role focuses on the production of thematic digital cartography, cartographic design, and the automation of GIS workflows and deliverables. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in vector and raster spatial analysis, supporting the development of high-quality geospatial products and technical solutions. The selected candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, supporting projects in natural resources, mining, infrastructure, environmental management, and other geospatial applications.
