Perform clinical duties including patient screening, recording vital signs, and assisting providers during examinations. Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, medical record updates, and supply inventory tracking.
Requires a high school diploma and at least one year of job-related experience. Must have a Medical Assistant certification from a vocational or technical program.
The employee will perform a combination of the following duties under direction of a provider; screen all patients for medical histories, recording vital signs, EKG. Recording X-Ray and or Sonogram in patient medical record charts. Prepare patient for examination and may or occasionally assist the provider as necessary during the examination. The Medical Assistant is responsible to scheduling of patients for follow up as necessary; collect and prepare laboratory specimens, phlebotomy. Ensure the appropriate disposal of contaminated supplies; prepare instruments for sterilization; responsible for stocking examination rooms; order supplies as necessary. Maintain communication with the various health agencies; immunization reporting; communicable diseases etc. to ensure patient information is updated.
Hourly $27.25 USD
