You will own and maintain the PostgreSQL database infrastructure while ensuring a product uptime SLA of 99.9%. Additionally, you will manage cloud infrastructure using IaC, participate in incident response, and develop internal database management systems.
The role requires deep expertise in PostgreSQL architecture, including sharding and replication, alongside strong proficiency in cloud providers like GCP and AWS. Candidates must also possess advanced skills in Linux administration, automation with Python, and experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
As a Cloud Ops Engineer at Wrike, you have advanced skills in supporting cloud and on-prem data center infrastructure with security in mind. You know how to work with containers, networking, monitoring, automation, and debugging a reasonably complex infrastructure. You feel comfortable defining your own work based on the team OKRs. You can also help others do so when necessary. You are used to proposing meaningful improvements to the existing infrastructure in alignment with architects and tech leads, and you can drive the execution
For this specific position, we are seeking for a DBA focused Ops Engineer, your primary strength lies in PostgreSQL, where you excel in designing, managing, and optimizing internal database systems. Your advanced skills extend to cloud and data center infrastructure, emphasizing security, containers, networking, monitoring, automation, and debugging. You proactively define tasks based on team objectives, guide others, and propose impactful infrastructure improvements.
You would have the opportunity to engage in high-end technical projects, development of an internal database management system built on PostgreSQL, and collaboration on command and control systems within an international team.
