Description and Responsibilities
The Economic Empowerment Assistant will provide various administrative support to the Director of Longer-Term Housing Services and Supports and Case Managers in connection with relocation expenses for clients, rental payment, and our economic empowerment programming. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
Supporting clients and case managers in obtaining all documentation for rental assistance processing (Collecting landlord tax forms, leases, submitting check requests, etc.). Assist in coordinating workshops for Economic Empowerment programming (Clarify, The Wardrobe, other employers, etc.). Create the calendar for all client activities related to EEP (across all sites). Assist in gathering “success stories” and data for multiple funders, related to housing stability (HAFI, OVW, OAK, Fresh Start, etc.). Assist in convening the EEP consortium providers (at minimum quarterly) to exchange resources and ensure that clients’ unique needs each quarter are met. Enter data related to services provided by EEP team, including-workshop attendance, referrals, resources, etc. into the Client Track database.

All responsibilities are expected to be delivered satisfactorily and with superior customer service and according to Agency standards.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, required, Associate's Degree preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of Office Support, Administrative, or similar experience, required.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) skills, required.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan projects and follow through to completion, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize time and detail, including keeping of records, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population, required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, required.
  • Conversational (Spanish/English), required.
  • Experience working in Human Services or related organization, preferred.
  • Previous experience working on domestic violence issues, strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a non-profit environment, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an urban setting, preferred.
  • Flexibility in the midst of a changing environment with multiple and/or changing priorities and deadlines, preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English), preferred.
  • PCADV Certification, preferred. If not already obtained, must attend Domestic Violence Advocate Paid Training, Post Hire
  • Recent PA Child Abuse, Criminal and FBI clearances, preferred; If not obtained, must satisfactorily pass criminal (state & FBI) and child abuse clearances, Post Offer*

Monday — Friday 9:00 AM — 5:00 PM
Pay Range:
$18.58 — $19.72 an hour
