The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing transaction-related journal entries, drafting accounting memos, and coordinating integration for acquisitions and dispositions. They also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment and assist with quarterly external reporting disclosures.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting and have at least three years of work experience, preferably at a Big 4 firm. Proficiency in GAAP/IFRS and strong Microsoft Excel skills are required, with a CPA certification being highly desired.

The Transactions team at Welltower is a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative accounting group focused on a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and other strategic investments. This role offers exposure to complex, high-impact transactions in a non-traditional accounting environment.
This position is primarily responsible for preparing transaction-related journal entries, drafting transaction accounting memos, and coordinating transaction integration with internal teams and third-party operators. The role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment, timely execution, and effective communication throughout the transaction lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and eager to grow within a challenging and fast-moving environment. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems while building a long-term career within a high-performing team.
