The Mental Health Technician provides mental health services, conducts assessments, and facilitates psycho-social-educational programming for incarcerated patients. They also triage mental health concerns and provide consultation and training to facility personnel.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in a mental health or social science field, though professional experience may be considered. Current CPR certification and the ability to work in a correctional environment are required.

The Mental Health Technician (ARDOC) (MHT) plays a vital role in providing mental health services to patients within the facility, working under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. They are responsible for conducting assessments, providing therapy, and supporting patients in their recovery journey. Additionally, they provide consultation and training to facility personnel to promote a better understanding of mental health issues and how to effectively support patients in their care.
