The Prep Cook is responsible for performing various food preparation, cooking, and cleaning tasks to ensure kitchen efficiency. They must measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and prepare meats, vegetables, and other food products.
Candidates should have a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. While prior cooking experience is a plus, it is not required as the company is willing to train.

Waterman Grille is looking for a Prep Cook to join the team.
Inside an historic 1871 gatehouse perched over the Seekonk River, the Waterman Grille presents a vibrant culinary experience on Providence’s East Side. Our cooking philosophy is inspired by the seasons, emphasizing fresh, local ingredients, with lively flavors and technique emboldened by the embers of our wood-fired grill. About the Position: In the Prep Cook role, you will be performing various food preparation, cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for customers.
About You: You are positive and energetic with a great attitude. You are looking to be part of a team, while still being able to work independently, in a fast-paced environment. You have prior cooking experience or are willing to learn as a new skill!
Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles
Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use
Prepares meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
Prepares food products as determined by recipe, technique and procedure
Competitive compensation $18-$21/Hour!
