We are currently looking for an Operator for our Fort McMurray TRD. This role is working shift work, having 14 days on, 14 days off and working 12 hours each day. This role will work both day and night shifts, hours being 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am respectively. The Fort McMurray TRD is roughly 25km south of Anzac, AB. This role provides shared accommodations in Anzac, however the successful candidate must provide their own transportation to and from Anzac as well as the Fort McMurray TRD.
The Operator position is responsible for the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment and water injection. The Operator will be in constant contact with customers and therefore, must demonstrate excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service. As this is a safety-sensitive role and due to the nature of working conditions, the Operator is required to be mentally and physically fit to successfully perform the tasks and responsibilities of this role. As an Operator, the minimum responsibilities are:
• A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent
• A valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of pre-employment testing (drug & alcohol)
• Special training in boiler, treater, shaker/centrifuge, pumps (all) and loader will be considered
• Yellow iron training (loader, rock truck, skid steer, tractor)
• Valid and current safety tickets
• A strong attention to detail, communication skills and a profound ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment
• A proven ability to work well under a frequent amount of supervision
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements
