The Saw Operator is responsible for setting up and operating machinery to cut metal according to specifications while maintaining production counts. They must also ensure part quality, monitor machine fluids, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred for this role.
Frequent mental and visual attention where the flow is intermittent with intermittent checking. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally required to walk, sit, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to airborne particles and chemicals. The noise level is usually very loud. The employee is required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes.
