The Impact You'll Make
As a Public Safety Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert for installing, diagnosing, and repairing advanced electrical systems in emergency vehicles. Your expertise with automotive electrical systems and Whelen products will help keep critical fleets operational, visible, and reliable—making a tangible difference in the safety of our community.
What You'll Do
Install, troubleshoot, and repair automotive electrical systems in police, fire, and EMS vehicles.
Configure, mount, and integrate Whelen lighting, siren, and control systems to meet agency specifications.
Perform diagnostics using multimeters, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer software tools.
Collaborate with fleet managers and public safety officials to ensure vehicles meet operational and compliance standards.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed.
Stay current on new Whelen product lines, installation techniques, and safety protocols.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in automotive electrical systems, including wiring, relays, and control modules.
Hands-on knowledge of Whelen products—installation, programming, and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
A commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site in a shop or field environment.
