Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid)

Our growing firm is looking for passionate problem-solvers driven to make a real impact: we're hiring a Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical team designs material handling, process ventilation and building safety systems, process and utility piping and heat exchangers, and building HVAC and plumbing systems for agribusiness and industrial projects.

 

Your role:

• Perform high-quality engineering services using strong engineering judgment combined with a basic knowledge of mechanical equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, control valves, fans, etc.).

• Prepare design/layout preliminary concepts and accurately communicate the content.

• Engineering software proficiency (AFT Fathom or Arrow, CHVAC or Similar, Ceasar pipe stress, or similar).

• Coordinate design team effort internally and externally.

• Review project documents for coordination with all disciplines.

• Participate in internal coordination meetings and client coordination meetings.

• Maintain discipline-specific project scope, schedules and budgets for individual projects and coordinate with disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.

• Select appropriate mechanical systems in coordination with vendors.

• Perform site visits/observations. (Potential 10% travel to construction job sites).

 

Your resume must include:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

• 5+ years of engineering experience in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utility systems design and construction.

 

Starting Annual Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including, but not limited to, market data, geographic location, experience, and specialized skills.
