Perform phlebotomy duties including blood collection via venipuncture and skin puncture. Manage clinical specimen processing, registration, and quality control procedures to ensure sample acceptability.
Requires a valid Texas Driver's License and two years of related experience for Level II, or completion of a phlebotomy course for Level I. Certification from agencies such as ASCP, AMT, or NHA is preferred.

The Laboratory Assistant II, Laboratory Services provides technical skills necessary to perform sample processing within the division and may perform essential phlebotomy duties as assigned.

· Certified Phlebotomist from the following certification agencies:
- American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP),
- American Certification Agency (ACA),
- American Medical Technologist (AMT),
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or
- National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
