This Senior Data Analyst role will pay a critical function within the Surest Ontology Team to support the design, performance, and continuous improvement of Surest’s Ontology and Search experience. Surest Ontology is the foundational framework and source of truth that Surest uses to organize, define, price, display, and adjudicate healthcare services across the member experience.  This role is responsible for translating complex healthcare and benefit design data to improve search relevance, ontology accuracy, and downstream operational outcomes.  This individual will partner closely with Product, Technology, Operations, and Benefit Design to ensure that Ontology structures and Search logic align with business intent and consumer needs.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze Ontology structures to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for optimization
• Provide analytical support for Ontology changes, including upstream inputs and downstream dependencies
• Implementation of Search data enhancements
• Develop repeatable analyses to validate data integrity and configuration accuracy
• Analyze search behavior, query patterns, and user interaction data to identify opportunities to improve search relevance and accuracy
• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for business and technical stakeholders
• Establish and maintain data quality checks for Ontology and search data
• Support documentation and standardization of analytical methodologies

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
