The Sharps Technician is responsible for the proactive collection and exchange of medical waste containers across various healthcare facilities. This includes ensuring proper waste segregation, maintaining accurate tracking logs, and adhering to strict environmental and safety regulations.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. The role requires the ability to maintain mandatory immunizations and perform physically demanding labor in hospital settings.
Reports to: Facility Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
The Sharps Tech will support the business, including manual labor associated with on-site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, and Controlled Substances, and other duties as assigned. This service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities. This is an entry level, non-supervisory position focused on Regulated Medical Waste related projects.
Pay rate: $21
