Grow with Treefera
We are a first-mile intelligence platform, delivering granular visibility into the point of origin in global ag & soft commodity supply chains - where risk, cost, performance and exposure are set.
You’ll join a global, cross-functional team that values rigour, curiosity and working close to real-world challenges. Whether your focus is AI, climate, product or operations, you’ll have space to contribute meaningfully and make an impact from day one.
If you’re excited by complex problems and want to help reshape how nature is valued in real-world decision-making, we’d love to hear from you.
Role overview
You will take ownership of the Market Intelligence and signals Treefera delivers. You'll turn our automatically generated monthly insights into a definitive Treefera view that traders act on, and call the market events worth publishing between cycles. You will monitor your assigned markets and, as you settle into the role, become a recognised voice for Treefera among commodity analysts and at industry events.
Who you are
You bring deep, practical knowledge of commodity markets — how prices move, and how supply & demand play out across regions and seasons.
You have the editorial judgement to take a draft and turn it into a piece that carries a clear point of view, and the confidence to put your name to it.
You write for the physical market — you know how traders and buyers actually read, and you can spot language that won't land with them.
You can represent your analysis externally — building relationships with analysts and putting a view across at events and briefings.
You work without a fixed roadmap, calling the market events worth publishing as they happen and setting your own priorities as demand shifts.
Desirable requirements (if applicable):
Experience at a price-reporting agency, commodity desk, or market publication — the outlooks and commentary the market actually reads.
A track record of external presence — quoted commentary, conference speaking, or an existing network among commodity analysts.
Familiarity with AI-assisted drafting and research workflows, and a clear sense of where human judgement has to override them.
What the job involves
Own the monthly market insight — review, sharpen and sign off the monthly sentiment papers across our full dataset portfolio (12 a month today, scaling towards 18) so each one reflects a considered Treefera view on supply, demand and the market and political factors that move prices.
Hold the market voice — make sure what we publish reads the way the physical market reads, catching terminology and framing that won't land with traders and buyers.
Monitor the markets proactively — track the commodities we cover and flag significant events, from weather to official crop estimates, that are worth communicating to clients.
Be a Treefera voice in the market — as your cadence establishes, build relationships with commodity analysts and represent our view at events and briefings.
Partner with Product Marketing — turn your market views into newsletters, bulletins and campaigns, judging when an event is worth publishing, and maintaining editorial standards alongside them.
Work closely with the Science & AI team — understand what our models are telling us so the view you publish is grounded in what the data actually shows.
What success looks like
In your first 30 days you'll be close to the commodities we model, across how our insights come together, and mapping the analysts who cover our markets. By 60 days you're signing off your first full monthly cycle with a clear Treefera view running through it. By 90 days you've published your first proactive event callout between cycles and made your first analyst introductions. By six months the full monthly set runs on a dependable cadence, and you're a regular presence where commodity analysts gather. By twelve months clients are giving direct, positive feedback on our insights, the content is generating inbound interest, and Treefera is being asked for comment on the commodities we cover — because the market knows you.
Who you’ll work with
You’ll report to Jonathan and partner day-to-day with the Science & AI team, Product Marketing, and Sales & Marketing, while spending regular time with our clients and the commodity analysts who shape the market conversation.
