Design and develop mechanical components, drawings, and specifications for heavy-duty forestry equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for production and conduct validation tests such as stress and vibration analysis.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering is preferred, along with proficiency in SolidWorks and FEA. Experience with heavy-duty mobile equipment, hydraulic systems, and diesel engine installations is highly valued.
As a Product Designer, you will work closely with an established engineering team to enhance existing products and drive new developments. This role involves designing and developing mechanical engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to build equipment dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. To excel in this role, a combination of technical skills is required, including both problem-solving and strong mechanical aptitude. Experience with fluid power systems, engine systems, electrical and electronic systems as well as drive train systems is required.
Locations: Brantford, Paris, and Cambridge , ON
Dedicated Day Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday
