The janitor is responsible for performing daily cleaning and upkeep of various building areas, including bathrooms, gymnasiums, and exterior spaces. They must also manage garbage removal, handle emergency cleaning requests, and ensure all rooms are fully equipped.
Candidates must have prior janitorial experience and the ability to pass a criminal background check. The role requires physical capability to lift up to 30 pounds, walk up to 3 miles, and perform tasks like bending and reaching.
We are seeking friendly and energetic janitorial staff to work in a fitness facility. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Janitorial experience required, must be able to pass a thorough criminal background check.
Janitor responsibilities and duties:
Perform general clean up of all areas of the building as directed. Including areas such as bathrooms, offices, classrooms, gymnasiums, common areas, fitness facilities, and auditoriums daily.
Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and/or parking lots
Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
Janitor qualifications and skills
Willingness to work early morning or late night shifts
Ability to work well under minimal supervision
Capacity to take direction
Strong attention to detail
Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary
Physically capable of walking up to 3 miles
* Physically capable of bending, stooping and reaching up
