Work alongside a collaborative team of patient-focused colleagues and physicians in our thriving Gastroenterology East Clinics in Happy Valley and Northeast Portland. By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you’ll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology East Clinics receive the highest value care tailored to their needs.
Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:
Scheduling appointments for new and established patients in an efficient and timely manner.
Obtaining and completing insurance information.
Answering phones.
Providing coverage for our medical records and front desk teams.
Obtaining and completing insurance information.
Updating records as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
This position is currently phone-based but may require scheduling patients in the office and is very high volume; therefore, excellent customer service skills and communication skills are required.
Salary:
Hiring range, based on experience and credentials:
Level I: $19.59 - $26.51 per hour.
Level II: $21.55 - $29.16 per hour.
Level III: $23.71 - $32.07 per hour.
Workdays: This position is primarily located at the GI-Happy Valley. While there will be a regular schedule, individual should be flexible to work at our GI-Gateway Medical Office Building as needed. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, (8:00 am - 5:00 pm).
Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:
Minimum of one (1) year work experience, preferably in a medical office is strongly preferred. Specialty care GI experience is a plus!
Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred. Epic experience is a super plus!
Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
Excellent attendance and work ethic.
Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
