• The PRN PCA (Per Diem Personal Care Assistant) at HOMECARE COMPANY OF TENNESSEE LLC is responsible for providing compassionate and personalized care to clients in their homes. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including transferring and positioning.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper nutrition.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized living space.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to the healthcare team.
• Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals to meet clients' individual needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and any incidents or changes observed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure the highest level of service delivery.QualificationsRequired Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience

• Previous experience in a personal care assistant (PCA) or similar role is preferred.
• Experience in providing care to elderly or disabled individuals in a homecare setting is advantageous.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
• Ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in basic caregiving tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with a strong sense of empathy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in client care.
• Basic knowledge of emergency response and first aid procedures.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to client homes within the service area.
