The coordinator supports regional healthcare emergency preparedness and response activities by managing grant deliverables and facilitating coalition meetings. They also maintain emergency management systems and participate in a 24/7 response structure for real-world incidents and exercises.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of emergency management experience and a strong understanding of healthcare preparedness terminology. An associate degree in a related field is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and project planning.

Reports to: Regional Healthcare Coordinator
Full Time
40 hrs/week; non-exempt
The Emergency Preparedness & Response Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of regional healthcare emergency preparedness and response activities across Southwest Ohio. This position is responsible for ensuring successful completion of Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) grant deliverables. This role plays a key part in advancing the work of the regional healthcare coalition and requires the ability to engage partners and to work with various disciplines. The proper candidate will have knowledge of grant work and a clear understanding of emergency preparedness capabilities. This position requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work as a team or independently.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment. Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files. Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. independently. May require occasional evening and weekend hours as business needs demand. Occasional local travel and may also be required. Requires participation and attendance at organization-sponsored events and meetings.
