The Director of Golf provides strategic leadership and manages day-to-day operations for all golf services, retail, and practice facilities. This includes overseeing staffing, financial performance, and the execution of tournaments and community events to make golf accessible to all.
Candidates must be a PGA member in good standing with 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in golf operations. Preference is given to those with experience opening new facilities and a background in public, municipal, or community golf.

Established in 2023 and located in Naples, Florida, The Gate Golf Club ("The Gate") is a non-profit organization driven by a shared love for golf and a commitment to creating a lasting impact on the community. Scheduled to open in late 2026, The Gate consists of a 175-seat freestanding full-service restaurant, pavilion bar, concessions snack bar, 30-bay state-of-the-art practice range with Trackman technology, expansive putting green, and a Jacobsen-Hardy designed 9-hole regulation length golf course. Recognizing the limited availability of public courses in Southwest Florida, The Gate Golf Club is dedicated to making the sport more accessible for families and players of all skill levels.
The Director of Golf is the senior leader of Golf Operations and reports directly to the General Manager. This role is responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day operation of all golf services, golf retail, practice facilities, tournaments, instruction, staffing, financial performance, and guest experience while supporting The Gate's mission of making golf accessible to all.

Opening in late 2026, The Gate Golf Club will bring a fresh perspective to the golfing community in Naples, Florida. Led by a passionate team of local Neapolitans, this non-profit organization is driven by a shared love for golf and a commitment to creating a lasting impact on the community. The Gate Golf Club is dedicated to making the game of golf more accessible by offering a public 9-hole golf course and practice complex for families and players of all skill levels throughout Southwest Florida. Here, guests will have the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Our state-of-the-art practice facilities, complete with covered hitting bays, ensure players can sharpen their skills day or night, rain or shine. The Gate Golf Club will also be home to a modern restaurant and a community-focused Pavilion, offering spaces for gathering, dining, and enjoying the scenic surroundings. At the heart of The Gate Golf Club will be our dynamic, regulation-length 9-hole, par-35 course, totaling 3,369 yards, designed by legendary golfer Peter Jacobsen. Featuring top-tier TifEagle putting greens and Celebration Bermuda fairways, the course will offer a premier experience for golfers of all levels. Our cutting-edge practice range, The Bays, will feature 30 covered hitting bays outfitted with comfortable lounge seating and Trackman technology, providing an unparalleled practice environment. For an added challenge, players can enjoy an illuminated, 18-hole putting course on our 48,500-square-foot putting green, making practice and play enjoyable day and night.
