•    Monitors the condition and proper use of personal protective equipment and provides guidance related to fall protection, lockout/tagout, confined spaces, hot work, respiratory protection, excavation, and electrical safety.
•    Participates in investigations involving injuries, near misses, vehicle accidents, property damage, and other safety events; assists with root-cause analysis and corrective action development.
•    Tracks corrective actions and partners with responsible department leaders to verify that identified hazards and compliance items are resolved in a timely manner.
•    Maintains accurate safety records, including training documentation, fleet vehicle and driver performance, employee certifications, inspection reports, incident files, and required compliance records.
•    Supports hazard communication, Safety Data Sheet management, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and response planning.
•    Promotes employee reporting of hazards and near misses, coordinates customer or subcontractor safety documentation as assigned, and supports safety audits and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  •    High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in occupational safety, construction management, or a related field preferred

    •    Must be able to pass an extensive background check for access to federal customers.
    •    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic documentation, and safety or learning management systems
    •    Strong professional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field employees, supervisors, customers, and leadership

Required Skills:
•    Jobsite hazard identification, safety inspections, and practical corrective-action recommendations
•    Incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action follow-through
•    Safety training, group facilitation, and clear communication of expectations
•    Accurate recordkeeping, documentation, and management of compliance deadlines
•    Professional coaching, conflict resolution, and the ability to address unsafe behavior appropriately
•    Time management, prioritization, independent judgment, and consistent follow-through
•    Cross-functional collaboration with service, projects, warehouse, fabrication, fleet, and leadership teams

Experience with:
•    Commercial HVAC, mechanical service, plumbing, electrical, fabrication, and construction work environments
