Full job description
Responsible for reviewing and auditing coded records across specialties for coding and compliance quality. Responsible for reporting findings, making recommendations, and presenting audit results to each physician within the applicable specialty. Responsible for the orientation and continuing education of Temple Physicians related to proper code usage, documentation deficiencies, carrier guidelines, creation of billing tools and HIPAA and Privacy guidelines. Responsible for effective communication with providers in the furthering of the compliance program.
This position requires regular onsite time at various Temple Health locations
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience 5 years experience in medical coding (physician), billing and coding auditing, compliance, clinical documentation and coding training required
Oncology coding experience preferred including medical, surgical and radiation. General Experience in a supervisory role in a hospital setting required
Licenses Certified Coding Specialist Required or Certified Professional Coder Required or Reg Health Information Admin Required or Reg Health Information Tech Required
