The Director of Surgical Quality, Safety & Outcomes serves as the central operational administrator responsible for sustaining the infrastructure, workflows, analytics, and committee operations that support the Department of Surgery Quality, Safety & Outcomes Program. Operating under the administrative direction of the Vice President of Performance Excellence with a dotted-line relationship to the Chief of Surgery, the Director coordinates the day-to-day execution of quality governance activities, benchmarking infrastructure, case review workflows, quality improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary safety programs across the Department of Surgery. This is a Health System role that will also include regional work to grow the transplant program.
Education Bachelor's Degree Required Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or related field Preferred
Experience 5 years experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, surgical services, or program management Required Previous experience with surgical quality registries (NSQIP, STS, MBSAQIP, SVS, ABA) Preferred Previous experience within an academic medical center or complex hospital system Preferred Familiarity with RCA methodology Preferred
