The Lawn Applicator manages lawn care routes by applying fertilizers and treatments while maintaining equipment and safety standards. During the off-season, the role transitions to installing and servicing holiday lighting, requiring work at heights and inventory management.
Candidates must hold an Illinois Department of Agriculture Commercial Operator license and possess a valid driver's license with a clean record. The role requires comfort working on ladders and at heights, as well as the ability to work in various weather conditions.

About the Role
As a Lawn Applicator at Taylor's Way, you are the person our clients trust with their property. March through October you run your own lawn care routes. For technicians who meet our performance, attendance, and safety standards, there is an opportunity to continue working through the winter on our Lit Up Taylor's Way holiday lighting crew at the same rate. That off-season work is earned, not automatic.
Growing Season: March through October
You own your routes and the clients on them.
Off-Season Opportunity: Holiday Light Installer, October through January
Different work, same standard. Selection is based on growing-season performance, attendance, safety record, and demonstrated comfort at height. You work as part of a crew under a Crew Leader.
Days run longer during install, so some overtime is likely.
