The role involves providing high-level financial management and budget consultancy services to support the department's resource allocation and monitoring processes. You will also participate in the development of relevant policies, procedures, and information systems to ensure effective financial oversight.
Applicants should possess a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Business, Economics, or Finance, with eligibility for professional accounting membership being desirable. A current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) is an essential requirement for this position.
The Team
The Budget and Resources Team (BRS) is responsible for setting and monitoring Budget and financial resource allocations across the Department. The team provides financial management support for all Business Units.
About the Role
Provide a high-level financial management and budget management consultancy service on aspects relating to the management of the Department’s budget with a particular focus on the whole of Agency budget development and monitoring including schools.
Support budget allocation and monitoring services in the Department including planning, evaluation and reporting processes. Participate in the development of appropriate policies, procedures and information systems. Provide high quality client services around budget management and resource allocation to schools and business units.
