Build trusted relationships with children under 12 who have been excluded from school and their families. Navigate education, health, and disability services to advocate for the child's needs and ensure wraparound support.
Experience working with children and families in education, health, or community services is required, with a preference for combined education and disability experience. Candidates must be able to build trust across diverse communities and possess knowledge of the school system.

As a Kaitūhono at Kaikaranga, you will work alongside tamariki aged under 12 who have been stood down or excluded from school, and the whānau behind them. This is wraparound, relational mahi in a brand-new service, with the space, and the support to do it properly.

We provide needs assessment and service coordination (NASC) in Auckland. We'll work out if a person is eligible to receive Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People supports and services and make sure their disability needs are met throughout their life. We’re a not-for-profit organisation and we’ve been around since 2002. We work with more than 13,000 disabled people and their families throughout Auckland. Our clients are under the age of 65 years. Our NASC service is funded by Whaikaha, and like all other NASCs across New Zealand, we refer to guidelines and policies for disability support services set by the Ministry.
