The Obstetrics Technician supports the labor and delivery team by preparing sterile fields, assisting surgeons during procedures, and managing surgical instruments. They also perform equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with safety and privacy regulations to provide optimal patient care.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or have military scrub tech training. A BLS-Basic Life Support certification and at least one year of recent relevant experience are required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
General knowledge of OB/GYN tools, procedures, views, and equipment.
Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Adheres to aseptic technique at all times.

Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.

Pay Range is $36.14 to $44.93 / hourThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
