The educational assistant supports classroom teachers by providing individual and small group instruction to students in reading, writing, and mathematics. They also assist with classroom management, supervision duties, and administrative tasks as assigned by the principal.
Candidates must possess at least a high school diploma, with preference given to those with post-secondary credits. Experience working with youth and an understanding of school culture are highly desired.

The teacher communicates with the educational assistant regarding support tasks that help classroom management or that support student learning. The educational assistant is oriented and evaluated by the school principal and/or designee. The educational assistant helps in upholding the mission, vision, learning, and discipline philosophy of St. Anthony School.
