The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in managing volleyball practices, competitions, and game planning for student-athletes. They are responsible for instructing players on fundamentals while maintaining a positive and safe environment that aligns with school values.
Candidates should have previous volleyball coaching or competitive playing experience. Strong organizational and communication skills are required, along with the ability to pass all necessary background screenings.

The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to provide a positive, competitive, and development-focused experience for our student-athletes while promoting the mission and values of St. John's College High School.
Position Details
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of a coach is instructing student-athletes in the fundamentals of volleyball while creating and/or sustaining a positive and healthy environment for student-athletes to thrive.
Reporting to the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach, the individual serving in this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Coordinate and manage all aspects of position/positions assignment as directed by the Head Coach.
Performs planning, organization and execution for coaching duties as described and assigned by the Head Coach for all meetings, practice sessions and competitions.
Assist in the development of a game plan for student-athletes versus opponents.
Attend all staff meetings as scheduled by the Head Coach.
Responsible for supervision, instruction and direction of student-athletes as assigned by the Head Coach.
Support, abide, and enforce all academic and disciplinary guidelines and policies of St. John's College High School, the athletic department and the volleyball program.
